I started growing vines on this tree one year when I had started too many morning glories. They were really glorious, but a pain to remove in the fall. I never planted them again.
The next year I did several varieties of sweet peas and they did wonderfully, even though they had to fight through the volunteer morning glories. I'd not been able to grow sweet peas previously in other gardens.
