First dozen from waterglass Sept. 24, 2014
Because the previous year's hens were laying so poorly, we sent them to freezer camp in September. I started storing eggs in waterglass in July, putting down 12 dozen to get us through to early December, in case the Buckeyes didn't start laying in a timely fashion.
We took the first dozen out of the waterglass the morning of the 24th, and that evening got our first pullet egg, probably from a Barred Rock. It's in the lower left corner.
